Let's Talk Nice About Our Roosters!

This is my Araucana rooster, Cholo. I got him as an 8 month old cockerel. He is now 2 1/2 years old, and NOT ONCE have I seen him show the slightest amount of aggression towards anyone. Not even strangers. He is still a great watchman for his hens even though he is so chill. He is my favorite rooster.

I've never had Ameraucanas, only Araucanas.

Clover is 20 weeks old and the nicest rooster ever. He recently lost his tail feathers to a dog attack so he’s convalescing inside, and today he just hung out with me for like 45 minutes. I know there’s still a chance he could turn mean but so far he’s just a sweetie!

Is he a black Australorp? He's very handsome! My dream is to have Dorothy follow me around like that, too.

He's a Black Orpington. It's not the best picture I have, I apologize! I think I have a better one!
I love all my birds but he's just one everyone adores. He loves anyone, strangers and all. The worst is when he tries to jump in our car to leave with us or follow our car down the driveway! He really thinks he's a part of the human gang. Never has he showed any agresion, just a gentle giant we say!

Orpingtons are wonderful ~ Does he enjoy getting his wattles stroked? I heard roos tend to like that and he's been blessed with impressive wattles!

This is my boy, Doris. I used to think he was a pullet. Then I decided he was a puppy. Everyone else swears he is a rooster. He is very friendly and comes running every time I walk into the yard.
