LG 9300 first time go

Day 11 and just over half way to hatch day. We have 11 still growing inside their shells. A small increase in temp during the night. It got up to 100.3 at center egg height, which is still good to go. We have read a few studies from universities and our confidence is growing with each passing day. Keeping our fingers crossed that we can keep it up for the second half. We ordered a fan kit from ebay for 15.99 which included free shipping. It will be used the next time we try incubation.
Great news!

Had a temp spike to 101.9 during the night. Not sure how long that was for. That was on the mid egg level thermometer. Determined the reason was my, (Bert), own fault. Checked the non starter egg last night for any signs of life before turning in for the night. In the process the thermometer which controls the heater slid away from its normal position, which is closer to the heat source. 101.9 is hot but not overly dangerous for a couple of hours. 103 for a few hours is deadly, especially during the first two weeks. We will candle them all on Sat, day 14 and give an update. 101.9 was the max of the spike and the temp doesn't stay very constant with this unit. 101.5 is my guess for an average over a few hours. All we can do is stay the course and monitor. We are really pleased with the air sack development using humidity around 30ish %. Keeping our fingers crossed that we can get all 11 of the fertile eggs to the finish line.

We still have 11 viable minions right on schedule with well formed air sacks. We could even make out beaks and such tonight. Will upload some photos from our day 14 candeling later tonight or tomorrow. The 12th egg was simply not fertile.

The stress! Thermostat sensor slid off the eggs and we had a temp spike to 103.6 today. It was for a short time, occured over20 to 39 minutes, but holy cow are we worried. Temps quickly back to normal.

Temps holding steady around 99.3 at mid egg height today. The waiting is the hardest part. Took one minion out from directly under the heater element to candle last night. It moved so we doubt we killed them with the short term temp spike yesterday.

Did final candle since we are going into lockdown tomorrow afternoon. In most, veining could be seen near the air sack and in some it just looked too dark to tell. One is very small but alive. It is moving around like the others did days ago. Keeping our fingers crossed.
