Guh, did not get as much sleep as I wanted. Then again, I should have gone to bed earlier than 4 am. >.>

Also, I want to get ducks. But ducks need pools, are there any types of ducks that will be happy without a pool? Maybe a small pond.

Will you be breeding or just have females for eggs? My first batch was raised without pools their whole lives, but I e come to learn since they've been gone that it can be dangerous for males to breed out of the water.

Seriously though, mine rarely use the pools. I have three small wading pools, the kind for children, and they mostly just use them to soak their heads in. But every duck is different. During the winter here, they only get enough to be able to clear their nares.

Which is so funny because my scovies are the water fanatics, along with my pekins and khaki girls I'm keeping. My buff, swedish and rowens don't seem to care too much

Someone is laying in one of my duck groups. It's either the smaller of my two pekins (Lilac Sunrise, the traditional and not Purity, the hybrid) or a Rouen I think. Roughly every other day
