I think I figured out what happened to her. She was extremely light when I went to remove her body
Everyone was going through their own different molt but this one and one of the drakes were going through the worst so I think she may have been getting kicked out by the others and not being allowed to get much food
I feel so terrible that I didn't notice right away

When I was breeding cockatiels, I had one of my females die suddenly. I had an autopsy done and she had starved to death, not being let near the food by the other birds. I felt sick to my stomach. But as TwoCrows said, we can't notice everything.

I decided to check everyone over and they're all plump.
They weren't too happy about being picked up though

But as TwoCrows said, we can't notice everything.

Especially if the bird isn't showing any signs that you can observe without physical exams. I have had birds that you can tell they're starting to slow down because something is wrong, before being picked up to feel.

I got my quails!!! But one seems sick or just off so she’s going back to the breeder to swap for another bird. Remind me not to buy Craigslist birds without checking out the setup and talking to the owner first.

I think their birthday present was learning how to hunt human. Cruella pecked me today three times the amount she has in the past three weeks altogether
