Yup. I'm mostly worried about the serama. I'll have to find them a flat perch. Right now they're on a bamboo one

Definitely offer up a roost that isn't round, they can't properly cover their toes with breast fluff on a round bar in cold weather.

Something like a 2x4 with the 4 side up, gives them plenty of flat space to set feet on and cover feet too.

My main problem is getting it attached to the wire. I'll look for something of those dimensions, although I've still got plenty of time. We're almost at the 30s and it's nighttime

You might have to get out your tools and saws and build a ladder type thing, any place to lean it on?

Really good idea! I'll find two sticks, attack them to the sides of the cage, place the plank I'm the middle, and then zip tie them together

I am famous for cobbling things in, but it works and the birds do fine!

You might make a saw horse design like this...

You could use ties or some sort of bracket to attach it to wire if need be. It could be wider for more birds too.

Oh gosh that's too high tech for me! The end product of whatever I end up building will probably look like a piece of junk, not some IKEA chique decor
