Something like a 2x4 with the 4 side up, gives them plenty of flat space to set feet on and cover feet too.Now I just have to find something that'll work for the cage...we'll see!

You might have to get out your tools and saws and build a ladderMy main problem is getting it attached to the wire. I'll look for something of those dimensions, although I've still got plenty of time. We're almost at the 30s and it's nighttime

I am famous for cobbling things in,Really good idea! I'll find two sticks, attack them to the sides of the cage, place the plank I'm the middle, and then zip tie them together

You could use ties or some sort of bracket to attach it to wire if need be. It could be wider for more birds too.
