It really is. I'll be back in a second, when I figure out the true dates

OK. So this should be right. If I want them to hatch somewhere within the Easter Holidays (Easter being on the 5th), I'll need to start breeding sometime within the last week of March. So mid March, if I want to play it safe and make sure I've got enough. So that'll mean I begin collecting on April fools, and stop somewhere in the second to third week. Don't know if three serama hems can lay 30 eggs in two weeks. Sounds like a little bit of a stretch to me, might need to push it even further back

Good morning! :frow What's on your agenda today? :)

Remember you don't want eggs sitting for too long either. Might just have to do a smaller batch

Definitely, eggs remain pretty viable for about 10 days, after which fertility starts to drop off. That's not to say 3 week old eggs won't hatch, which they can. But hatch rates are best within the first 7 to 10 day old eggs.

Crap, it's even lower than I remembered. OK, then whatever I can collect in 10 days. Gotta do all the darn math again🤣
