Mealies are awful! Sorry you had to go through that. Years ago I had an outbreak of mealies, lost a plant because of it, now I know what to look for.

And yes, this is definitely one big learning experience, plants make things look so easy and of course an untrained eye lets all sorts of disasterous things happen. We learn as we go, I definitely know more now than I did a few months ago!

It was OK, wasn't something too serious. I really hope all turns out well for you, I hope you don't lose much of your collection!

I believe the losses are done. My old man cactus, 2 barrels and 2 trees cactus are my main concern now. They stopped taking up water when they were under attack and have had wet feet for a couple weeks now. The soil is drying but slowly, I don't think they care for it. So hopefully in a couple of weeks they are out of shock and back to their old selves.

But on a happy note, my Lithops look really good these days, took about 3 waterings a week apart to get them to swell. I think they needed time to grow those hairs that take up water. I sit there and stare at them all the time.

Yes I want more! I love the colors on these, especially the green one and red one. They look really healthy! So now I wait to water until they start to wrinkle?
