Yes I can't wait to see their flowers! I've heard they can skip they're winter shedding? How do they know its winter? I use a grow light, they do get 3 or 4 hours of morning sun though. I will start adjusting the lamp light less every day as summer winds down.

I have no idea what all the cactus names are, 🤣 I've looked at SO many on line, yours looked similar to a Pincushion I think. Thats a very pretty plant you have! I think my Feather cactus us a mammillia, I really like this species of cacti.

That makes sense. If they can't tell by temperature fluctuations, and they can't tell by light hours, then it makes sense that they won't split. At the same time, I don't know if that means that they'll also skip on flowering or not. Adjustments to the lighting schedule is a very good idea!

Your feather cactus is gorgeous, looks so unique! I think you're right, it does look like a mammillaria. I too love the mammillaria group. Such easy cacti, and very easy to flower. Pretty too!
