Treating mealybugs on cacti must be much harder, not very easy to get to them behind all those spines. What I did for the mealybugs was drench the plants affected with iodine/alcohol, and repeat a out a week later. If they ever come back, try using that technique, worked very well for me!



Getting plants from a local nursery or a plant expo is a good choice, you'll be able to inspect them. Still, I try to quarantine new plants, just in case
Thanks for your tip, that's exactly what I've been doing is spraying with diluted alcohol, it works excellent on killing bugs! Dang bugs. :tongue Here's to us both being bug free! :highfive:

I have definitely learned my lesson to quarantine all new plants!!! :barnie
 
Sad day here.
I just went out to check on the flock while they were relaxing and found one of our black runners dead
It looks like it fell asleep and just never woke back up so I'm not sure what happened
Everyone else is acting fine, including the duck that's still having walking issues.
