Thanks for your tip, that's exactly what I've been doing is spraying with diluted alcohol, it works excellent on killing bugs! Dang bugs.Treating mealybugs on cacti must be much harder, not very easy to get to them behind all those spines. What I did for the mealybugs was drench the plants affected with iodine/alcohol, and repeat a out a week later. If they ever come back, try using that technique, worked very well for me!
Getting plants from a local nursery or a plant expo is a good choice, you'll be able to inspect them. Still, I try to quarantine new plants, just in case


I have definitely learned my lesson to quarantine all new plants!!!
