Had a fox last year that came out of the long grass right next to me and snatched one of the ducks! Chased it into the woods screaming profanities at it, but couldn't catch it. Now I'm afraid to let them out at all...

As much as I would love to eat it, I unfortunately do not want to eat a city raccoon.I love all animals but that raccoon should be eaten.
Predators get so focused, don't even see us, just awful. I am so sorry.I caught the raccoon that ate our ducks in the act early this morning before dawn.
I let the birds out early so I could allow them to enjoy some supervised free range before they stayed locked up for the rest of the day

Y'all! My bantams came today(and 2 Bielefelders- they look HUGE)! The banties are so freakin' tiny and adorable. I can't even stand it. The Bantam Ameraucanas and the Bantam Green Queen all have puffy lil cheeks
, and the Bantam Cochins are the cutest!
