LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

Yeah the stuff we learn living in RVs. Toilet burp, flushing and hosing out black water tanks, it's just SO fun. 🤣 We still have our Airstream, it's a 31 footer, it's parked out back. We cleaned it up and updated it and it's now our guest house. It's beautiful inside now! We have it hooked up into our septic system, water and power lines too. We put a porch on it, its fabulous now!

What a perfect guest house! Those Airstreams are awesome! Our most retro campers have been my favorite, but we have never had one that cute. 😍

That looks great!

We're talkin' about plants and campers. Covering all the bases today. Thanks for asking, how are you!?
Alright, thx...
Plants? Like growing them or what ones are the best (opinionated?)
Campers? Like the ones on wheels or the people that go camping and we call them campers? (idk which XD)

Okay, if we can't post about plants, they get toilet stories then🚽. (I'm kidding, I'm kidding.)

Of course I wish more people would post planty things anyways, and I also hope no one minds. There is an app called Palmstreet that does live plant auctions, and I've seen a lot of family on there, but maybe that doesn't make it on-topic, lol. (Is that a weird thing to say? We always just called all gay people "family" or Rudys and Judys). You can tell me if that's offensive (too this or that probably--I definitely am not planning on using the terms here again) but there's some, what, early 2000s lingo for everyone, lol.

Thank you! That's good to know. They seem to just roll with it. Love Haworthias.

🦖💚

Yup! I think many in the community turn to plants. I can definitely see why.

Sometimes when one can’t find a home with their birth family, they find it with their chosen family. I think it’s a very beautiful thing, that most of the community is still very supportive of eachother.

Yes! Haworthia are such a laid back group, almost never causing problems! They’re just one of those that will rarely let you down

Welcome to the thread!

Both I guess, although it’s mostly the former here.

Definitely the wheeled type

Ah, XD...
I remember when we camped in campers. Don't exactly miss it, XD
Now we've got a decent cabin...
I don't grow plants, but my mom plants and cares for flowers. We've planted/gone through somewhere around (truly) over 700 - 800 trees just in our yard (about 5 acres XD)

You don't grow plants yet (haha). (I mean I think trees are plants, so 🤔). That's a lot of trees! All kinds? Deciduous? Evergreen?

Sadly, one way -- the worst way -- to build yourself up is to put someone else down.
I don't think there is an excuse for it. I do know how hard it is to not repeat doing when it was done to you as a child or in your formative years, for some reason--a lot of strong people probably have, so just generalizing here--but I'm assuming a lot of them that act this way have been treated just the same and for some reason, want to make people feel the same way they felt (could be way off base here, too). I have learned most actions are either an extension of love or a cry for love (not my words, someone smarter than me put it that way) so the people that do that are really struggling themselves, but it is hard to see it sometimes, when peoples' actions can seem just seem completely inconsiderate or mean.
