LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

Ooh, Idk what they're called, but those ones that look super wild are gorgeous. Just visually though, idk if their breeding is ethical.
I'd just get a rescue cat anyway, whatever breed would be okay
Yeah, no, the breeding of Savannah cats isn’t ethical. It’s a mix between a regular cat and a serval. They look like this. They’re literally half wild cat.

I used to watch a show that would feature 3 or so breeds of cat (and dog in the dog version) amd it seemed as long as you knew what you were getting into and could properly house and stimulate them, they weren't unethical to own. Bit that meant for every 20 or so people that wanted one, maybe 1 would be fit to own one, and I think it was recommended not to have other cat breeds or dogs woth them

Is it the fact they're a hybrid, or is there a health problem with mules?
I know they can't reproduce, but I'd have thought that was an upside for some folks
Just curious, why?
I have seen too many species brought to the brink of extinction because of cross-breeding. Especially if the offspring are fertile. The resulting babies often don't know how to behave and some do have health issues.

It may not be as bad with the infertile ones (like the mule and jenny), but look up the Parrot Cichlid. That poor fish can't even close it's mouth!

Macaws have messed up gene pools due to breeding the Blue and Gold to the Scarlet. Same situation with some species of lovebirds, breeding Peachface to Masked.

This is not to be confused with domestic dog and cat breeds, as they are the same species, just in different 'flavours', so to speak.
