I think they are just born that way. Yep I for sure have photos of my beast. He is turning 14 soon and either is going into retirement years now or wildlife got the memo he is here. I haven't had a full size skeleton of a possum in my yard this year. He was 14 pounds and change in his prime and now only 12.5 pounds. He is missing a few canines and we have had to remove a few claws for his battle scars over the years but ours came from Salado Creek in San Antonio(that was our source).

I just like chicken and decent people I hope I came to the right place. I do not want to intrude just watch people enjoy our hobby and live their own lives experiencing joy, trials, tribulations, victories and in my case to learn.

DW and I had a conversation over this thread and it's detractors. It was a distraction that was only resolved with a good bit of wine, loud music and then a discussion that we need more powerful speakers(ours do not go to 11).

I also forgot to mention we are bird watchers in my intro and if you have Netflix "Birders" is where we live amazing we had so many friends involved in that project. We watched it for the second time this week due to Covid keeping us from our normal lives.

We did get to see Amy Goodman at our last rally. So that was a cool as heck thing as I screamed "That's Amy!" like a fanboy. Yes I screamed it so loud she skipped a step in her interview, apologies. You know you are on the correct side of history at moments like that. It was one of our ACLU events here on the border. Oh the pre-Covid days.

I have cleaned up this thread and reopened it.

Flaming and arguing with other members because they disagree with you is a violation of the rules and just makes a huge mess. Trolling members so that they end up flaming and arguing with you is also a violation of the rules. If you must say something like that to another member, for goodness sake, do it through private message, not on open forum.

In all cases, best practice is to just IGNORE and use the report button. Don't feed a troll by replying to it. Here is a great THREAD on how to care for your trolls.

Thanks @DuckLady for opening the thread back up. I was so sad this morning when I came in and saw it was shut. I guess I have a lot of catching up to do.

Does anyone here know if there’s a thread within BYC for Black Soldier Fly larvae? I keep finding small threads but feel there HAS to be some large thread? Maybe not.

I found 10,000+ larvae yesterday in one of my shavings and poop buckets from the geese pouring it into my compost. WHAT? My chickens must have eaten over there for 6 hours and I had to pick up a few to bring them Home to the coop at night.

I’m thinking I should be setting up one of those auto feeders of these for the chickens.

Oh... There's a groundhog/woodchuck in that picture under the spoiler that's definitely not alive anymore. She's a monster and gets rid of 3-5 a year for me. Not to mention anything else she can get her teeth around.

She pretends to be a sweetheart, though. XD

Friendly is one way of putting it. XD She looooves groundhogs. And rats. Cats. Squirrels. Robins. They haven't exactly loved her tender administrations. >_>; She tries to bite the neighborhood deer. She tried to fight a hawk once. But at least she loves children.

And thank you! She's a doll when she's not trying to murder every animal that isn't a dog.
