So you are both minors living in your parents house....
....are parents doing anything about this?

As far as I know, I seem to be the only person with 1 day a week currently. On Sunday, I got a quick look of the schedule sheet before I clocked out and I saw that I was the only one with a shortened work week.

How many shifts do the others have?
Maybe they need to rotate who gets 'short' weeks?

I can surmise that since you're working, and he's two years older, he is certainly old enough to know how hurtful what he says can be. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.

Someone wanted to debate the OP about their faith instead of participating in a constructive manner to support our community members. Once called on it, they respectfully stopped posting there and found other threads that made them happier. Guess what, God created and loves LGBT too! Yes I think your desire to connect with folks who might have a better understanding of where you are coming from is understandable... and I'm thrilled to be part of a community where we can skip the drama (usually) and be considerate of and learn from and support each other no matter our background.

While I am not LGBT, I was raised extremely prejudice and dare I say ignorant! Thankfully, as an avid over thinker... I have made a full circle to the understanding that being "different" doesn't equal bad, ungodly, or all the other ugly things I was taught... and even taught my kids early on.

BYC, has been not only a place to learn about chickens but also a place of healing and discovery for those who utilize it as such. There are many wise and wonderful, caring and supportive animal guardians in this community that outweighs the few dim witted and immature.

I don't fully understand your plight, but I KNOW how hard it can be to feel rejected, ridiculed, and alone... even to the point of suicide.

So hang in there, make as many connections as you can, and be supported... hopefully by some who understand and also by those who don't but want to.

Just refilled this black tub thing the ducks like to swim in and runt scared mama hen by jumping in it. It's funny watching this chicken freak out because the duckling she's raising keeps jumping into water to swim.

I'm also glad to see it's doing better with eating more now that it's siblings are at their new home. I was worried since it never had a full crop like it's siblings at night.

I'll be getting more foster kittens this Friday

I love foster kittens!! How exciting! I hope you post photos of them!

I've fostered a few litters myself. My current cats are my foster fails. Oops. I just couldn't give them back. Ten years later I'm very glad I didn't. I adore them and their cat litter paws.
