LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

I did that with the very first egg I got. I left the shell plain, though. It sits in a little sugar bowl my grandmother gave me. Two nice mementos together.
DANG! Wish I'd thought of that for mine last year!!!

Although my daughter quickly stole it from me... >.>
 
Yall have given me ideas about what to do with my first Cruella and Ursula eggs now! I will not be blamed for the million eggs I waste in the process though :lau (because if you hadn't already gathered by my sporadic posts, I'm also very clumsy!)
It's not overly difficult. Use a large needle, and tap it at the end of the shell. I usually make the one on the wide end a bit bigger, so the contents come out more easily. Also, once a hole is poked, stick that needle in there to break the yolk. Nothing gives you a headache like straining to blow a full yolk out of a tiny hole!
