Just finished working my first ever 10 1/2 hour shift at work

Did many of those, and longer. Sometimes the time flew by (very busy), and sometimes it was a real slog. Those times, I just kept thinking, Time and a half, time and a half... OT pay is good.

If you're on your feet, wear GOOD supportive shoes. Sit down on your breaks too. Give your feet, legs, and back a rest.

For those wondering why I worked a 10 1/2 hour shift yesterday. It was due to the trip I went on. The schedule got mixed up before I had left so I agreed to take someone's shift

The hen we have that's sitting on a single duck egg is getting 2 ducklings. It got too hot and the egg stopped developing so I went to Wilco to get 2 female Fawn & White Indian Runner ducklings.
She'll be getting them tonight around 11pm after I get home from work.

It's been quiet around here... Hope everyone is doing okay.

We're currently under severe thunderstorm and tornado watches. It's been raining off and on all morning. I didn't get to my chores until late, and boy were the birds happy to be out!

I'm keeping an eye on things to make sure they remain safe.

Pride tomorrow!!!!!
I have my ticket and I'm ready to go.
Don't ask me why it isn't during pride month. I have no idea.

But also I chose to be HONEST with my mother about where I'm going tomorrow and she ignored my text message. Yes, text message, you think I'm going to say those words in person?
So now I have no idea how she's going to react tomorrow, kinda freaking out over here

The hen that I gave 2 ducklings last night has accepted them. She tried to attack me when I wanted to check them over this morning

She was okay about it
She asked why I would want to go, I explained that I support the community.
She said she felt upset about it, but that she loved me and wasn't going to fall out with me over it

So I went, and we just didn't speak of it again

I swear these birds are no longer normal. Only Juniper the Olive Egger was supposed to have these babies but Sweet Pea decided she needed to help raise them...
