I have tonsay though that so far, fiber people as a group are probably the nicest group I've interacted with. Of course there are some less pleasant and.... off people, but for the most part, they don't seem to have an issue with hearing that I'm "mainly just playing with different things and learning what I like" and are usually pretty happy to recommend something they have that might be a little easier or softer than some of the more specialized fibers.

Plus the textures. Good God above, the textures. It is probably the best type of sensory overload to find a booth with all sorts of stages of wool and different types and colors. I'm pretty sure I got a little buzz when I saw a ball of roving that was mostly hot pink alpaca with a tiny bit of white rabbit angora in it and could almost feel it just by looking at it. It's going to be so sad when I eventually spin it

Nice description, there is something to be said for sensory perception, when you can become one with something just by looking at it, smelling it or touching it, you know you are on the right path with it.

Congratulations! My fiber friends and I would jokingly have that kind of competition too.

There were two women that I carpooled with to the informal "spinning group" we had. There was one stoplight on the way that we seemed to always hit red. Then one time, we hit it green! What could that possibly mean? Then the next time, it was green! Then back to red.

So we made the rule that whenever we hit that light green, we got to spend another $20 at the upcoming FiberFest. That was a very fun year.

Fiber people are often the nicest, most helpful, friendly, giving, people I've ever met.

Done. 20 eggs all in all incubating. 18 eggs in the incubator, 2 under Cruella. 18 Tsouloufati eggs, the other 2 brahma×aseel. I know fertility is high, but we'll see if my mishandling impacts the success rate. Hatch day is 5th of August

Thank you! I am pretty egg-cited myself! Let's hope at least some of the eggs don't turn out bad, especially the ones under Cruella. Let's also hope that Cruella stays healthy and broody and hatches these darn babies! My main worry is that she commits too much and never leaves, so at the end she breaks

Rarely is a hatch a complete failure unless something goes horribly wrong. So I think things will go well. Broodies can go flakey, if Cruella quits at anytime, you can always put her eggs in the machine.
