LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

I definitely will (I already did once!). I think it's the girls pestering her. Especially since last night, when Koutsi went to roost, Cruella was huffing and puffing way more. And this morning, Ursula went near the nest, and then later on Koutsi did this weird thing where she stood outside the nest, picked pieces of straw from the nest and threw them onto her back (nesting but outside the nest?). Cruella was LIVID. So I think they drove her to the edge. What one has to endure just so they could have besties...
I was wondering this, if others were bothering Cruella. Definitely try and keep Ursula away from the area. Could be why Cruella has abandoned ship in the past. Sounds like Koutsi is attempting to help hide the nest pitching straw around. :D Good girl!

I just don't know how I could get Ursula away from there. The roost is over the nest (Cruella doesn't mind Ursula roosting over her actually). The nest is right next to hers, which she does mind. And then whenever I drop food for Cruella, Ursula goes in there to eat! I can move the nest, but I can't do anything for the food since I can't block the whole area. As for their normal food, ever since Cruella went broody they've been eating from the outside

I guess at this point you have to let nature take its course. Hopefully as time passes and the eggs start develop weight, Cruella gets SO broody, nothing turns her switch off and she guards her nest more intensely.

That's my hope. I'll move the nest, but for the other two I can't do much unfortunately:hmm

I wouldn't move Cruellas nest, it could freak her out. Although you could slowly pull it away, an inch a day. Moving broodies is dangerous business, some tolerate it, others don't.
