Aww... Super adorable Wind! :love Mommas know things about their babies, even while in the egg. They also can sense time and if chicks don't hatch in a timely manner, mommas will just end their lives. This is also why staggering hatches is bad with broodies, once hatched babies are a couple days old, mommas start to focus on the live babies, caring for them and will abandon eggs even at the pipping stage. Nature needs to keep those alive that survive the test of hatching.
I'm surprised (and quite pleased) that Mopsy continues to sit on the eggs. Then again, not much to do in a rabbit cage! That was one thing that kind of made me weary of putting Flopsy's eggs under her, as I didn't know what the difference in incubation time was between them all, but it seems to be turning out okay.

As she continues to sit her remaining eggs, she also clucks to the babies and shows them the food (right in front of her). All the chicks appear healthy, so...

Awww....what a wonderful mom! :love I'm glad she is still setting, not all broodies would continue. Enjoy all those babies Wind! ❤

I like smaller eggs. They're easier to pass, so more safe for the bird. She'll go broody. I can feel it. I predict 3-6 weeks and you'll have a growling fluffy
There is that. I'd rather she laid some just a touch bigger, though. I worry about future chicks not having enough room to grow.

And stop saying she'll go broody! It's too late in the year for it! :p Although at least by then, the Muscovy eggs should have hatched and she'll have that nesting box all to herself. Yes, she still forces her way in (as the scovy hisses and bites) and lays her egg there!!!

See? It's meant to be :D

My father has a friend with daughters. Daughter number four, aka Abigail, has heard that my father has a son, aka my older brother.
Father and friend have arranged for them to meet, but older brother resists the matchmaking! I don’t get it, she seems nice. And he’s single. Please explain… I would GLADLY jump on this Abigail opportunity… arrrrgh

Maybe she's just not his type? Or maybe he just sees her as something other than romantically?
