Doing good! Still hasn't dropped them, but not as Godzilla as she was. Ursula pecked one of them pretty hard the other day and Cruella didn't like it. Still no pictures usually as winter approaches I don't take as many pictures, I hang out with the dinos then run back inside to defrost

Muscovy eggs finally started hatching!!!

So far, two black and two chocolates. One of the chocolates is atipico, which is a trait I'm breeding for. When they get their feathers, they don't have the white primaries, they're the same colour as the rest (unless pied, of course). Makes for a more uniform and sleek look, imo.

Hopefully a few more hatch. I'm a bit worried considering how late in the season it is, but hopefully everything goes well.

I don't envy people starting hatches going into fall. It's tough getting very young birds acclimated to freezing temperatures.

I would not have done this in the incubator (made that mistake *last* year). It's different with a mom, though. The babies seem stronger and hardier. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on them, rest assured.
