Yup! Easter is 5 of May, so I'll probably start breeding one week into April. I'm just not sure if breeding them two times a week or so would be enough to ensure fertility. I'm glad you'll be following along! I'm thinking of doing a Hatch Along, as well as joining the Easter HA
I'm not 100% sure how often he needs to mate with them but it definitely should be over a 2 week period. I would think every other day would be ok? Definitely do a hatch a long, they are fun for all involved!! 😊

Honestly every other day is a little too often to put him in, amd putting him back. Too stressful on the birds. I might just put him in permanently. But I would like Cruella to have her husband. Noted, will keep you updated on the Hatch Along!

It took me too long to realise I'm being a complete dum-dum. If I first bred in the beginning of April, I'd only have one or two good eggs to set. I completely forgot to take into account the actual days of egg collection in my math:th. My stupidity amazes me

:hugs

Took me a while too to figure out that chicken math isn't anything like real math. 🤔
