I assisted the last chick. It's a good thing I know what I'm doing.
It was just about at halfway out of the egg but the hens were refusing to sit on it so it was almost cold. I only took off pieces of the shell that weren't attached to the chick.
Now I'm currently sitting in the coop to make sure the hen that's still in the nest stays on the chick to warm it up.
She is softly chirping to it but I don't want to trust that she'll stay on it if I leave

I was a little worried about that last chick that I ended up assisting yesterday. It wasn't doing so good last night and I was expecting to find it dead today but it's doing much better.
It's still trying to find it's feet and it's very wobbly but chirping like normal.
I currently have the hen and chick separated so that the chick gets used to everything before they get let out.

The other hen and chick are also doing good. They're free ranging with the flock and Scout keeps trying to follow them around despite the hen warning him to stay away.
