LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

We have other types of wildlife that are pretty cool though. I grew up hunting moose and capercaillies (weirdest english name for a bird) and they are very impressive.... but in a more massive way than delicate hummingbirds. ❤️

We don't have something too "cool" here, and especially not here here. In Crete we do have the Kri-Kri, but around here the coolest you can get is a Tawny owl.

I've always found capercailles (no I did not copy and paste that, and yes I am very proud for spelling it) to be gorgeous creatures; like a more gorgeous and regal turkey

Even I have hummingbirds out at my place, with how hot, cold and dry it is here. I have no idea how they get enough food, honestly

They must be tough little creatures. I remember seeing a video of two males fighting with their sword-like beaks during mating season. I'll try to find it

But the kri-kri (yes, I had to google that) are so majestic though! And so are tawny owls. I bet you have really fancy cacti too? ;)

They are amazing and can be pretty darned scary if you get on the wrong side of them.
I had a lot of trouble trying to describe them to the scots when I first came over and had no idea what they were called in english. They are not very common over here either, more up north in the country. 😁

We have a ton of bald eagles out here, they're like a monthly sight at my house. I always forget that they're not a typical sight for other people

That is what I was thinking with my friend - I know the summers are hot but they also go down to -30C in the winter with tons of snow - so where do the little delicate hummers go? ❤️ Surely they don't have enoigh body mass to migrate?

The Kri-Kri are nice, yes. Although I've never seen one in real life. Tawny owls are cool, I like the noises they make, and I even found a feather the other day!

No cacti here, maybe some small native succulents, but not much
