LGBTQ+ Poultry Keepers

We have other types of wildlife that are pretty cool though. I grew up hunting moose and capercaillies (weirdest english name for a bird) and they are very impressive.... but in a more massive way than delicate hummingbirds. ❤️
I had to Google capercaillies, they look very similar to our Turkeys! Lots of folks hunt these too.

That is unfortunately the reality of what we've done to the planet that is our home.

Is it possible to make hummingbird nests to help with local populations?
Most Hummingbirds come up to North America to breed and migrate back down to South America to winter over. The birds are losing habit in Mexico, South America, Amazon, Bolivia, Brazil, etc... So much deforestation going on, hummingbirds along with thousands of other tropical birds don't make it through winter, millions of birds are lost every year :(

I think maybe they are quite similar. Pretty big, hefty birds... but these are not groundbound the same way as turkeys. They thrive in the forest and roost up high. Pretty cool!
Turkeys are also pretty cool, and equally scary! I have seen the videos!

That is what I was thinking with my friend - I know the summers are hot but they also go down to -30C in the winter with tons of snow - so where do the little delicate hummers go? ❤️ Surely they don't have enoigh body mass to migrate?
The Rufus Hummer migrates over 3,000 miles from Northern Canada to Central America. They are tough little birds!

It's so, so sad. We're slowly destroying our planet, and killing so many species in the process. We should be doing better

We have tons of Wild Turkeys, I love to feed them Wild Bird seed. :p

Here a Male is displaying for a female behind him. Ignore the Bigfoot/Yeti on the left. 🤣
