Would a donkey in the fenced chicken yard ward off raccoons, possoms and fox etc. esp at night?

Also, my chickens do go in the coop at night, so maybe one of those $300 dusk to dawn electric coop doors?

I want an automatic door for our coop SO BADLY - but it's going to have to wait.

I don't know about donkeys, burros, or mules as far as "flock guardians" go, but they are supposedly good to have for larger livestock for that purpose...
