Xylo heard all the words in clarity now, wondering who she was singing about. Perhaps Lucas? Or him? Still, he didn't interrupt her, not wanting to witness the end of her beautiful voice. Her voice seemed to freeze him, rooting him to the floor right where he was, threatening to never let him go. It was like a trance, and he couldn't seem to shake himself free. Not that he wanted to.

Her words resonated with him, no one knew what he felt either. But for some reason he felt better about it, knowing that the person closest to him felt that way as well. Perhaps it was selfish. She didn't know what he felt, and maybe he should open up to her about it. He tried to keep himself hidden so she didn't notice her, only his deeply pensive dark brown eyes penetrating the green of the forest.

If River had opened her eyes, maybe she would have seen Xylo`s eyes watching her. But she didn`t. She was escaping to her mind, and she didn`t want to come back- yet. She didn`t realize she was singing about someone, but whenever her words changed to something about trusting in someone, them finding her, or her finding them, she pictured Xylo running after her two nights before. She didn`t even know she was. She was deep in thought about the words and about who had sang the song. Lecrae couldn`t have been the only person originally singing the song. She seemed to remember hearing that someone else had too... Who was it? She thought for a second as she sang, though she didn`t stop. Oh, yes. It was Tori Kelly who had sang with him.

(Ok.) Eva asked softly, not wanting to anger anyone, “Is he the man who pointed the arrow at me yesterday and blocked the door?” She had no prejudice against him, she was simply curious.

Lucas nodded. "Yes, that would have been Stephen." He responded.

Eva thought out loud with a bit of a saddened smile "I don't think he likes me." She wondered why that was, but, in the end, it didn't matter. What did matter was that Lucas did, but for some reason he couldn't tell she was into him.

Stephen wandered through the forest, looking for something to hunt. He wanted to get better hunting with only his knife, so he left his bow at the cabin. He sat down on by a river & threw a few rocks into the water, watching the fish dodge the rocks & swimming downstream.

Horius was busy crafting himself a mask downstream with reeds. He didn't need anyone to know how he looked anymore, and a mask only heightened his sense of intimidation. He was gathering the youngest reeds he could find, which happened to be the most flexible, and began weaving them together into a mask.

Xylo's heart wanted to believe she was singing about him, but perhaps he was mistaken. And he didn't want to make assumptions about things he didn't know.
He decided she could use privacy, and placed a mental tracker on her, before beginning to walk back to the cabin. Her singing was nothing but angellic, it seemed. He had never known she enjoyed to sing, but she most definitely had to have been doing it for years. As he walked back to the cabin, a twig snapped beneath his feet. He hoped she hadn't heard it but you never knew. He hid behind a tree quickly, not wanting to betray her privacy.

Stephen pulled off his shoes & rolled up his pants & walked into the water. He slashed at some of the fish with his knife, killing two with one blow. He scooped them up and tossed them by his shoes, not noticing Horius on the other side of the river. He slashed at a few more fish, missing them. He took off his jacket & waited for a larger group to come over. When they did, he grabbed one with his hands & laughed surprised. "I can't believe I just caught that." Stephen said to himself. He used his knife to kill it, & watched its blood get on his hands, which he washed off in the river. He tossed the fish by his boots again, and waited for more fish to come.

As the song finished, River`s eyes fluttered open. The calmness stayed though. Birds flew around in the branches above her and chattered to each other, the leaves rustled against other leaves, and the light breeze caused the grass to sway, but among all this, not too far off, a twig snapped as someone stepped one it. Had someone been spying on her? The peace was broke and her soft eyes hardened up as she put her hand on her dagger- it could be Horius or a hunter after all. She walked silently through the woods then stopped where she thought she had heard the noise come from. Where was whoever made the noise? Perhaps she had imagined it, or an animal had stepped on the twig.
As she got the feeling that someone was watching her she swung around, seeing a man leaning up against a tree, then took her hand off her dagger as she realized the man was Xylo and her eyes softened slightly.

Xylo began softly, "I wasn't trying to spy on you, I was just going for a walk and heard someone singing. I've never heard a voice so beautiful. So I had to stop and listen. I'm sorry, I'll leave now." He didn't know how'd she react, but he had said the truth, and he to stop. Her voice sounded like an angel's from heaven, singing alongside the harp of the cherubim and the trumpet of the seraphim. He asked quietly, not being able to contain the curiosity that gnawed away at his heart, "Who were you singing about?", preparing to be slapped as he admitted her perhaps had been around too long for her liking.

Lucas shook his head. "You`er probably right. Do you want me to just do it? I mean, it may not be the best job but it`ll get done."

Eva shrugged, responding "You can go ahead." She added silently "I have to get accustomed to blood anyways. It's a part of this forest, after all.", referring to the countless lives the forest had claimed.
