Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

By this point, Persepolis had vaulted over the boulder several times. I've got this, She thought, getting confident in her abilities, Soon I can move on. Persepolis backed up, taking a few deep breaths and preparing to vault over the boulder again. She started sprinting, moving quickly. In one smooth movement, she performed the action perfectly, clearing the boulder and continuing her pace without any issue.
Persepolis took a swig of water from her canteen, feeling the last little bit slosh around inside. It was hot and she was sweating profusely, draining her water reserves faster than she should if she was being responsible. She'd get dehydrated in a few hours at this pace, but Persepolis wasn't paying any attention to this red flag.

She moved onto the next boulder, walking around it and running her hands over it, testing it out. It was a good length, too long to lazily vault over. It would require more energy and practice to clear. The surface of this boulder was very smooth, much nicer than the other boulder. That was a plus because it wouldn't hurt her hands. Persepolis knew that when she was going to clear this boulder she would have to dive head-first at it.

Persepolis, hot and sweating, took off trench coat. Her black tank top was damp, clinging to her skin. She wiped her sweaty palms on her jeans and used her wings to create a small breeze around her, trying to cool off before she started.

Horius ignored Alex, before responding simply "Fine then, I'll do it." He walked over to Alex, looking down in front of him, his face masked by the ominous mask he had created. Horius added softly, pointing his gun at his arm, "you're going to feel my pain. You imbecile of a human, thinking your words can trick me?" He shook his head, shooting Alec in his hand next.

Alec jerked his hand up towards his chest & closed his eyes. "You know, if you kill me, the humans will know it was the aves & they will hunt you down" Alec grimaced. He really didn't want to say this, but he had to. "But, if you leave me alive, I'll tell the other hunters that I was in a fight with another human. I will hold my promise, cause we both know that if I told them you could easily track me down and kill me."

(I just thought of what Horius would say lol.) Horius chuckled, this boy was stupid. With a silent shake of his head, he provided a separate option, “Or, we can let you die, move your body miles away so that your friends are left helpless to avenge you, and leave you to rot.” He looked at the boy behind his mask, noting calmly, as if it were no big deal, “That option seems safest.”

Persepolis backed up a handful of yards behind the boulder. The grass around her and the boulder was clear and filled with lush deep green grass. Sweat collected on Persepolis' forehead and she wiped her hand across it, then wiped her hands on her jeans. She jogged in place briefly, warming up her feet. Persepolis pressed her wings against her body again, greatly reducing their drag. After a deep breath, Persepolis started running. This time she was running fast, she needed momentum. Her feet pounded the ground and the lush grass swayed and bent in her wake. Her hair flowed out behind her, catching the sunlight beautifully. The wind rushed past Persepolis' ears, blocking out other sounds around her.
Persepolis pushed off the ground and dove, pushing her hands out in front of her with palms open. With hard impact her hands connected with the boulder. Persepolis quickly started swinging her legs forward. When her legs sat in a line with her hips, Persepolis took her hands off the boulder and threw them behind her at the same time that she threw her legs in front of her. Persepolis' legs hit the dirt a few feet in front of the boulder. She bent her knees to brace the impact then stood quickly and continued running. She had cleared it. Now she needed to clear it again. She was getting tired.

(And the best parkour writer award goes to...@Cyprus ! Good job tho, these posts are great!)

Persepolis returned to the same place that she had stood in last time. She rubbed her wrists, the impact from her first run at the boulder had hurt. Persepolis jogged in place again, picking her knees up high and making herself have to work a little harder to get her blood flowing. She tossed her head back, staring at the clouds above and feeling the breeze on her face. Lowering her head, Persepolis looked at the boulder dead on. She was prepared to go for this again. Persepolis was vaguely aware that she was tiring and losing focus.

Crouching, Persepolis took a runner's stance. Pushing off with her right foot, Persepolis shot up and started running at the boulder head-on. She bent her knees slightly, preparing to launch off the ground. Persepolis leapt, but she missed her timing by a fraction of a second. Everything was off now. Persepolis felt cold panic flow through her as she pushed her hands out in front of her in a dive. She was coming in too fast and her hands weren't in position yet. Her right arm hit the boulder instead of her hand. Red-hot pain shot through her arm and shoulder as Persepolis subsequently crashed into the boulder, just missing hitting her head. She tumbled off the other side of the boulder, rolling into a patch of lush dark green grass behind it. Persepolis cursed, she was in a lot of pain. She tried to move her arm, but it just resulted in a lot more pain. A quick feel of her forearm confirmed that it was broken.
