He breathed out softly, before whispering “Thank you for trusting me. I will never betray that trust.”

Xylo nodded, before pushing her away slightly so he could behold her again. His eyes showed only love, as he stared upon her respectfully. He whispered as if he couldn't believe it "You're so beautiful River. You look like an angel sent down from heaven to help poor men like me."

(So how should Alec survive?) Horius kept looking at Stephen, slightly frustrated by his indecisiveness. He asked calmly “You or I?” He added simply “I can do it if you want, just choose.” Horius personally hopes Stephen would do it. Start off his killing career.

"I- I'm sorry, I can't kill him. I'm not a killer. And don't say that I am because of my previous job as a butcher. Those animals were already dead." Stephen said, taking a few steps back.

(@FrankieDoodle you could have Horius leave because all 3 of you hear a human search or hunting party nearing you. Maybe people are looking for Alec? Then Stephen could drag Alec away to prevent him from snitching to the approaching humans? Just an idea.

(Maybe. Maybe not. Since Alec seems to like running his mouth, he could use it to his advantage. He could tell them that if they kill them and leave him, the humans would certainly know that Aves killed him and they would retaliate. Conversely, if they leave him wounded and bleeding out, he could lie to the humans and say that he got into a fight with a violent human outlier. To keep him from snitching, Horius could threaten to murder him and all his colleagues if he snitches. I have a feeling that Alec wouldn't doubt that he'd know and keep his word. Horius could leave, and Stephen could deal with Alec. Thoughts?)
