Xylo looked up at her with some embarassment when he fell down, which was only increased by her smirk and her sarcastic comment. She was so skilled with a sword. He would’ve just bashed away until his opponent was overcome by brute force. He took her hand and muttered “showoff”, before preparing for another sparring session.
(XD Also, I love how Luna and Persepolis were just shipping River and Xylo lol River`s gonna go insane with Lucas, Persepolis, AND Luna XD)
Luna agreed, replying “You’re right, we don’t. At least not now.” She took heart to what Persepolis was saying, but found it hard to believe. If it was her past, then why did she remember it every day in the present? She asked quietly “I know it already happened, but it’s a part of me. It’s like I want to reset, you know. Start over and forget everything.”

Once Xylo was up River turned around and grabbed his branch, throwing it to him. "Get read." She said. She began to circle him, eyeing him, waiting for an opening.

Xylo already had a plan. He was stronger than her, so if she came in to swing, he would fly up and bat he sword away, hoping she would drop it, or at least get rattled enough that he could deliver a “killing” blow
