Xylo dropped down from the tree, responding "Sure it was, showoff." with a slight smile. He decided he should go hunting as well, it was his responsibility as a member of the group. As he stalked forward, the blatant scent of pine trees along with the less noticeable aromas of other trees filling the air. Water dripped from the skinny leaves, diving off towards the ground with no parachute. With every step he took, the scent got stronger, the noises got weaker. Soon, there was almost no noise at all. It was then that Xylo took flight, scanning the area below, a hunter above his prey. He nodded towards a trio of deer up ahead, as if he was acknowledging they were good enough. Xylo grabbed his two daggers and dove downwards in a second, unleashing both, hitting a deer in the head, killing it instantly and without pain. The deer hadn't done anything to him, so why should it die painfully? With a sigh, he pulled the deer over his shoulders and began the trek home, glad to have been able to gather food that would last them some days. It was about half an hour later when he exited the woods to the cabin's clearing, a deer heaved over his shoulders.
