"Cattail", Persepolis replied confidently.Luna nodded, the nod increasing in magnitude as she liked the plan more and more before she agreed “Perfect. Let’s do it.” She continued the walk with Persepolis, now scanning the floor for food rather than ahead. She asked, “What’s your favorite plant to eat?”

River looked away from his eyes. Somehow, she had offended him. It showed in his eyes. It had to. "It`s fine, don`t be sorry." Her eyes flashed again. "Oh man, I`m so sorry, I hit your leg earlier... I forgot it was wounded..."(XD)
Xylo immediately let go of her wrists, dipping his head and apologizing. Why did he always have to ruin something? What was it he had done to deserve it? He gave up on what Lucas had said the other day. She was broken, but Xylo was not fit to be with her. Xylo admitted silently he was broken to the point he couldn’t recognize feelings. He was frankly too broken. Beyond repair, his heart only a vessel for blood and keeping him alive, no longer a place where he might enjoy love. He offered some words of sympathy in “Im so sorry. I had no idea.”
Luna replied embarrassedly “Probably parsley or something.” She muttered “We have a woman with a PhD in biology over here.”, before replying, actually interested “That sounds like a great plant to have around when you’re surviving in the woods. How does it look?”"Cattail", Persepolis replied confidently.
Seeing Luna's questioning look, she added, "Don't knock it 'till you've had it. Almost all of the plant is edible. The lower parts of the leaves can be used in a salad; the young stems can be eaten raw or boiled; the young flowers, cattails, can be roasted and eaten or ground into flour. The pollen of the cattail can be added to pancakes for added nutrients."
"What's your favorite plant to eat?", she asked Luna.
Xylo mustered up the confidence to reach for her hand, holding it softly and delicately, so she could reach away if she wanted to. He was annoyed, sick and tired of offending and being offended. He explained softly to her “You should never have to say sorry to me. You’ve been nothing but kind to me, and I’m not a man who deserves it.”(Kissing is I think, but anything beyond that (Of coarse) is not.)

River looked back at his eyes. "Why not?" She whispered. "And I don`t deserve your kindness." She searched his eyes. Looking for disgust or hate, or something like that. All she found was... "It's a long, very stalky kind of plant with a brown, corndog-like head on the top. They grow in groups, in wet areas, usually along streams." She answered. Then added, "I actually love Parsley." She smiled.Luna replied embarrassedly “Probably parsley or something.” She muttered “We have a woman with a PhD in biology over here.”, before replying, actually interested “That sounds like a great plant to have around when you’re surviving in the woods. Xylo reached for her other hand, slowly reeling her in closer to him, his gaze not leaving her eyes. His grip was gentle and delicate, not wanting to bring up memories of the past, but instead wanting to forge new ones. He responded quietly “I’m a broken man, who has killed and regretted it. Who has ignored people who needed me. Who has played with people’s emotions. I’m just a sinner.” He paused, before continuing “And I don’t care what you’ve done. Because it’s what you do now that counts. And from what I’ve seen, you deserve every second of my kindness.” He paused in his sentence, before concluding “And love.”River looked back at his eyes. If he knew what I`ve done, She thought. he would hate me.
Luna rolled her eyes at her ignorance, responding “Those! I’ve seen those all the time. I thought they were called like “water dogs” or something”, self deprecating herself a bit by playing off of her ignorance. She smiled, followed by “There’s some by a stream about a mile away. Want to go there?”"It's a long, very stalky kind of plant with a brown, corndog-like head on the top. They grow in groups, in wet areas, usually along streams." She answered.
