Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

Persepolis listened to every word, hearing all the meaning behind it and recognizing just how hard it was for Luna to speak these things to her. She felt Luna's pain and Persepolis herself fought back tears for her friend's troubles and past. Persepolis now understood just how much Luna had gone through, how much other people in her life had beaten and broken her. And she was determined that Luna would never again have to go through such terrible mistreatment. Persepolis was relaxed as Luna embraced her, and she allowed Luna to thank her even though she didn't need to. She knew that what she did for Luna meant a lot to her. Persepolis embraced Luna back, gently but firmly enough to show Luna that she meant it, "Thank you for telling me all of this, Luna. I know that it was very hard for you to open like this. I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of that at the orphanage, you should never have had to deal with that and those people are horrible for treating you that way. I promise that mistreatment like that won't happen to you ever again, you don't deserve it. I hope that one day you can break out of your coldness. It will be hard, but I honestly think you can eventually do it." Persepolis paused, taking the time for a few deep breathes before continuing, "You're the best friend that I've ever had, too. And I'm serious when I say that. Thank you for being here for me when I've needed you. I appreciate you so much and I promise that I will never let the bond between us be broken."
Luna felt like a brat, demanding all this attention, but she knew Persepolis didn't feel that way and it was only right to do so after locking away her emotions for so long. She simply enjoyed the hug, knowing that someone else had compassion for her and was there for her. She wasn't completely confident in her ability to change, but Persepolis gave her some assurance that there was some hope for her. Her orphanage days were long gone, but they had branded her with an insurmountable amount of pain, a brand that she would have to hold for years to come. It hurt her to know it was that way, but she had motivation to change now. She asserted softly "Persepolis, thank you. I'm going to try my best to return to who I was, and I apologize in advance for any coldness that I might show on the way. And I know that you don't think I should say sorry, but this isn't your responsibility. You choose to do this, and I don't have words for how much that means to me." She paused, before adding hoarsely "I hope this friendship never ends."

"Yes. No... Maybe." River paused sheepishly. "I shouldn`t think about that but... I`m worried. We have eight people to feed, no meal is promised, hunting won`t be enough soon. We could grow a garden, but where would we get seeds?"
Xylo set her down, allowing them to speak seriously as leaders for a few moments, as they should. They were leaders after all, voted in by the people to protect and guide the group. He suggested, " We could try to get some seeds from plants in the area, and we could assign hunting teams that set out every day, at different times and places, so that we can try to get enough food to feed everyone."

Persepolis stepped back, giving Luna room and so that she could look at her, "As long as you're willing to try, that's what matters. I promise I won't get upset at any coldness you show along the way. I know that this isn't my responsibility, but I want to be here for you. I care about you and I want what's best for you." Persepolis added, in a meaningful tone, "I also hope that this friendship never ends." Sunlight was streaming bright and strong into their room now, illuminating both Luna and Persepolis and the space around them. Birds were chirping outside and by this point, the cabin was mostly empty. Persepolis asked curiously, "Do you have anything planned today, Luna?"

River nodded. "That could work." She relaxed again- slightly. She studied him, unsure of what to say next.

Luna squinted at the light, and moved out of the way of the incoming ray of sunlight. She loved hearing the birds chirp outside, witnessing their symphonies of chirps and whistles. With a smile, she nodded at Persepolis' words, agreeing with all of them. Regarding her question, Luna responded "I'm going to meditate a lot today, so that I can master my levitation with eyes open. I'm sure it'd help me a bit with my past as well, reflecting on it rather than harboring negative sentiments towards it." With a smile, she added "Oh. And I need to have a little talk with Hector today. Tell him to respect this absolute beauty of a woman, who dressed up her hair just for him." Luna didn't know if that was true, but she did mean the part regarding the beauty of Persepolis.

Persepolis smiled and stated, "Meditation sounds like a great idea. I've been doing it for years and I, at least, find it to be very relaxing and stress-relieving. I agree it will likely help you with your levitation." A ray of sunshine hit Persepolis in they eyes, causing her to have to look down momentarily. She sidestepped out of the direct sunlight. Persepolis blushed slightly at Luna's reminder that she was going to talk with Hector, "I hope that conversation goes well. And I wouldn't say I'm all that beautiful," Persepolis gushed, "But I'll take the compliment. And not going to lie, I did dress up a little nicer for him. Whether he cares or not, though, I'll still look fierce which is fine by me." Persepolis laughed at that.

Xylo continued, wanting to make sure she was fine, "Is there anything else you'd like to talk about? Or anything else regarding the group?" His eyes were kind and understanding, intent on helping her.
River shook her head. "No, nothing about the Banished, not... Not really." She mustered a smile. But on the inside, she wasn`t smiling. Everyone`s lives are spinning out of control. Stephen is acting feral, Eclipsa is most likely dead, Horius is banished from the Banished, I have no clue about Hector, Luna doesn`t think she is worth a pellet, Persepolis, is, well, going to die if she has to revive too many people, and me and Xylo are... Broken. She thought depressedly.

Luna joked “Shut up Persepolis. You are beautiful, and there’s really not much else to it.” She responded to the meditation comments, “Most definitely. I’ll try it today, especially since im trying to master the levitation.” With another squint, a result of another ray of sun hitting her eyes, she asked softly “Should we leave so that the sunlight doesnt melt us?” She opened the door at that, and waited for her to leave the warm room is she wanted to. If she didnt want she’d leave herself, as the sun had become irritating quickly.

Xylo read her like a book. He asked softly, not wanting to get forceful and intimidating with her, “Are you sure? You seem distressed.” He looked at her, his eyes inquisitive as he gazed upon her again.
