Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

Persepolis looked at her smiling, "Nah, I'm good. You go find that Romeo of yours. Or, Alec, as he's called." She stuck her tongue out at Luna, making light fun of her. She added protectively, "Just be careful, okay? You've got your weapons? Here, take your knife back. I'll use my machete." She handed Luna her knife back.
While Persepolis waited for an answer, she cut off the hide at the neck of the deer. She then sawed off the deer's head with her machete.
Luna blushed some more at the mention of Romeo, before responding thankfully "Thank you Persepolis. You're a great friend, and I will be careful. I won't be doing any parkour or anything, you know." She smiled at the subtle tease before taking the knife from her friend. Luna waved as she turned and began walking towards Alec's camp, butterflies flying around in her stomach as she walked. Alec finished butchering the deer he got with his new bow, & started cooking it. He kept an ear out for any noises, particularly ones that could mean danger. While waiting for the deer to cook, he started doing pull-ups.

Persepolis watched her go, silently wishing her the best. After Luna disappeared, Persepolis heaved the hide over her shoulder. She then flew to the stream. Finding an acceptable spot, Persepolis submerged the entire hide in the water, holding it down with several heavy rocks. She would leave the hide there overnight, to soak. Nothing would go to waste and she would eventually turn this hide into as good of armor as she could make. She estimated there was enough hide here to make wrist braces and vests for at least two people. There'd be spare hide leftover and she'd find a use for it in her creations.

Persepolis returned to the carcass. Taking out her machete once again, started dividing the carcass. She cut the carcass in half, hanging the halves with one length of her rope on each leg from the tree. Proceeded to remove the kidneys, laying them next to the heart and liver. From there she worked slowly and carefully to divide the carcass into several cuts and roasts. The trims she would mince and cook up later.

Xylo sympathized with her rough past, squeezing her hand gently as they walked to display that. With a quiet voice, he asserted "We don't know how we're going to do it because we've never been parents before. No parent knows what to do before they actually have a child." He added assuredly "But I do know you're going to be the best mother I'll ever have seen. You're strong-willed, patient, caring. Just to name a few traits."
River smiled up at him shyly. "Thank you. I'm positive that you're going to be the best father."

Luna arrived at his camp a little while minutes, after a pleasant walk. She then realized in embarrassment she had no excuse for showing up this time, and it seemed rather obvious now...was that a bad thing. Of course. He was doing pullups too, making her seem even more out of place and guilty of liking him. Should she just walk past him and say she was doing something else?

Xylo smiled in return, gently pulling her hand up to him to give the back of it a tender kiss. He whispered "I've never been happier than this, ever since I've met you, I just want you to know that."
River blushed. "Same here, Xylo. You are what I have always wanted but never had. You've given me so much... I hope I have given you much, too."

Alec dropped down from the tree he was doing pull-ups on. He saw Luna standing there awkwardly. "What's your excuse for showing up this time?" He said, smiling.

Xylo smiled at her words as they touched his heart in every good way possible. With a gentle and loving voice, he responded “River, you’ve given me everything I could’ve been wanted in a woman.” With a teasing smirk, he asked “And what have I given you Ms. vampire?”

Luna blushed, blushing even harder once she realized she had already started blushing, and how much she had blushed the night before. She stammered quietly “I wanted to see if you were ok, how you were doing?”, which wasn’t completely the truth, but she didn’t want to admit verbally that she liked him yet, she was too embarrassed.
