Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

Luna whispered softly, her emotions dying down like the fire before them, “I cant think of anything except...” She sighed, looking deep into his eyes as she prepared to question him. Then she did it. She asked the question that plagued her since she hd met him: “Why do you mask the kind and caring person you are behind a tough and cold persona?” She hoped she hadn’t angered him, but she had been dying to know.

"Wow, I was not expecting that." Alec said, surprised. He thought for a few minutes, looking around at the forest. "Are you sure that's the question you want to ask?" Seeing the look on her face, Alec sighed. "I-I don't know. I guess I was raised like that?" Alec said, shaking his head.

Persepolis smiled, responding in the same tone, "I'd love to do that." She took lowered her wings and let go of him. She said softly, meeting his gaze, "lead the way." Persepolis was more than aware of the others in the camp but she didn't care. Her attention was on Hector and right now he was the only thing she cared about.
Hector looked around and saw a few others staring at them, keeping his head low somewhat, until they were deep in the brush. It was them he took her hand gently and walked off with her, to who knows where. It wasn’t that he was embarrassed about being in love with Persepolis, it was more of him being quite shy. With a quiet sigh once they were a few dozen yards off, he asked considerately “How’s Luna? I guess I owe a lot to her, for getting me to come talk to you.”

Luna didnt respond immediately. Was that really how he was raised? To be cold and emotionless? Perhaps practical, but it undermined the humanity of Alec. He was someone completely else under that sheet of cold. With a gentle voice, Luna responded “Well, from what ive seen you’re a great man. Inside and out.” This time, Luna didn’t blush. She just wanted him to know that she believed Alec was a good person, simply covered in layers of coldness that had to be removed.

"I'm not good. I'm a terrible person. I kill people." Alec said, disgusted at what he did. "You haven't heard the screams of the people I killed, begging to be spared. Does that still make you think I am good?" Alec asked, looking at her.

Persepolis held Hector's hand, stepping closer to him. She answered thoughtfully, "She's good, I think. She's happy and seems to be enjoying herself, which is good." She added, "I'm glad she talked to you, Hector." She glanced at him, waiting for him to say or do something.

Xylo assured gently, “Yes, I am taking you somewhere. I want you to see something.” His mind was set on getting there before the sun set, which he thought was reasonable with the pace that they were walking currently. He remembered everything about the spot. The clouds, the scarlet sunset, the quiet wind in the trees. He wanted to share it all with her, every emotion he had when he first saw it. Xylo was intended to distract her from the two bodies they had found earlier, and this was the perfect time to show her this unknown location.
River nodded, her steps not wavering. Quietly, she wondered what he wanted her to see, though she didn't ask, he seemingly didn't want her to know yet, she would know what it was when she saw it.

Luna didn't respond immediately. That had caught her off guard, to be completely honest. After a minute of pondering how to respond, she spoke up, explaining gently "But is that really the person you are? You find joy in killing others? Or is that something of your past that has stuck with you today. Sometimes we need to kill, I've killed before." Her expression was now meeker than before, as she didn't want to infuriate him; she had already seen the disgust in his face.

Hector gave her an appreciative smile, grateful that Luna seemed to be ok. He agreed with her statement, responding in turn, "Me too. I didn't know you liked me like that, but I guess she woke me up a little." He laughed a little for once, at his own blindness regarding the fact that Persepolis had obviously had feelings for him before he approached her.

Xylo came to the edge of a cliff, where he spread his wings and took flight, waiting to see that she followed before they went to the opposite side, landing in a cave that jutted out of the cliff wall; it was a rather peculiar formation, somewhat like a nose to the cliff wall. With a sigh, he took a seat on the edge of the entrance, looking up at the sun which had begun setting. They had made it just in time. He looked over to her, whispering "Wait. You'll see how beautiful it is in a few moments."

Persepolis also gave a little laugh, "Yeah I had a huge crush on you before you asked me out. I guess I was just waiting for you to ask me." She gave his hand a small squeeze, emphasizing her feelings for him. She admitted, "I'm really glad you did, though."
