Hello ya'll,
Been just a little bit busy around the parsonage. In fact, lots busy.
My garden, well, you would think I was raising weeds...finished hoeing the last row just a few minutes ago...waiting on a shower to open up...young'uns are first....sounds like I will be wading water to the bathroom...son is playing with his boats...pretty sure WWIII is occuring.
Daughter is busy in the other, soooo....here I sit with sweaty self.
Did I mention I had a lovely trip? I did. Visited, talked, giggled, and worked myself to a frazzle...but I loved every minute of it!
I'm waiting on pictures...the one major problem I did have...I forgot to recharge my batteries, and my children had taken the other set out to put in their gameboy...

Otherwise, I would show you pics...when I can beg some from family...I will post...
I must admit I am amazed, most of the areas in my garden got cotton gin trash, one row did not...there is a noticeable difference.
I'm headed to the cotton gin ASAP!
Not sure when I will be able to sit down an visit with ya'll.... did you know yardsales are work?!
Whew...I've crawled under beds, in closets, around the house....(shhhh, don't tell the Rev., he's missing a few things come Saturday!)
This week tomatoes are coming off, (from the big fields)we are going early Monday morning and pick. I'm planning on buying about 4, 5 gallon buckets to can. Tomato's, salsa, sauce, may even have time to work in homemade ketsup.
Do ya'll want me to tell you how much I'm getting them for?
Monday I'm supposed to be able to get them for $3 or $4 a 5 gallon bucket. (Sometimes they want you to pick, so we will see)
And then corn (once again, the big fields) is coming off beginning the 21st...that's for a specialized corn, it's called Esau's corn...I've heard you can look it up online....you will never, I mean never taste better, sweeter corn...even from your own garden. I've got an empty freezer waiting on corn and tomatoes. And 2 boxes of Bell and Mason jars waiting for my salsa, diced tomatoes, uhmmm.....
I may be serving the family fried green tomatoes for awhile!
Love fresh veggies. I shuck my corn under the nearest shade tree, which could pose a problem, since there are none! My carport is full of junk....(uh-huh, and not all of it is headed for the yardsale)
Well, who said it was going to be easy? Huh?
I cried like a baby when I saw my nephew coming down the isle. I seem to do that, I cry at the drop of a hat at those sorts of things.
My sisters were dears, I surely enjoy their company. I feel almost lost when we climb in the car, and head back...but duty calls. I try not to be so very selfish, but living in Egypt sometimes it's a little stressful!
Did I mention we drove home Sunday morning? Yes, we pulled up to the parsonage with 20 minutes to spare. Felt slightly out of sorts, but the service's were awesome! They are certainly getting excited about revival. I spoke last night, (no, the Rev. did not fall asleep on me this time, though he did tell me I was alittle long winded
)
Friday night is a fellowship meeting, we have to leave early, it's almost and hour and half one way. Expecting several to go with us. Rolling Romeo will be on board, not sure about nervous Nancy.
I think I may crush my selflessness, and be selfish this trip...it's hot, and that air conditioner doesn't work well in the back!
And by the time you get to the 4th row, not much air circulating!
Don't know about any other parts of the country but down here, it can be 80* and seem like 110* due to the humidity! Generally, I open the door, walk down the steps, and have broken out into a hard sweat! Whew!
I have a fan on the chicks. Poor things, I'm wondering about a mister? Supposed to keep areas where you install it at least 15* cooler. If I installed it to the side of the coop...kinda in the shade...
that's a good thought. Need to check that one out.
Well, I've got to get clean. Will write again soon.
Ya'll come, thanks for visiting with me
