Hi there - I have a 5 week old frizzled polish chick who I noticed yesterday had a bit of a limp - the other 4 chicks ( 2 silkies, a polish and a silver Wyandotte ) seemed fine with her until this morning when I found them stomping on her!!!! she now seems really unwell with no energy etc- I am just waiting for the vet to call - not sure why she was limping but it's a lot worse today - cant find anything sticking into her or broken bones etc - probably a pulled muscle. Hopefully the vet can do something and get her back to normal! Should I have isolated her straight away??

Yes, I'd isolate her right away to keep her from being bullied again.
Has she eaten anything lately?

She's not eating or drinking anything now - she drank a little 2 hrs ago. She's just nodding off constantly - I have her wrapped up in a little blanket holding her just waiting for the vet- we only got the chicks at Christmas and everyones really attached to her!!

Is she under a heat lamp? It's hard to say what could be wrong.....is the vet on the way?
I'd try and get her to drink some water with electrolytes/vitamins in it.

She's perked up a lot now- vet gave her some pain relief ( think it was just children's Panadol !!) And only cost $154!!!!! Will just keep her isolated until she's better- had to remove the other Polish as I noticed the warrandyte pecking it! Who knew hens could be such bullies!
