I have a girl who has been limping for about 3 weeks now. I kept her locked up in the run for a week straight and it seemed to be better. The day I let her out I guess she re-injured it. She’s since been limping worse and worse. I’ve kept her on the run going on 10 days now but no signs of improvement. What can I do? I see no signs of sores or breaks. Any help I’d appreciate. I attached some pictures. I have a video as well but can’t get it to upload.

I'm not going to offer conjecture as to what may be causing this lameness, but I'll tell you the treatment that may help fix it. It's vitamin B complex as it can repair damaged nerve connections.

I have a seven-year old EE hen who became lame in one leg a month ago. She also had a bacterial infection that might have been related to the lameness. I treated her with penicillin for the infection, and it cleared up, and I treated her with vitamin B-100 complex for the lame leg, and it's almost back to normal now with only a very slight limp. I also used 81 grain aspirin for inflammation and pain twice a day, and threw in a dose of St. John's Wort.

Whatever the cause of the lameness, in many cases, vitamin B-complex will help.

Thank you so much. I’ll look into that!
