limping chicken

Well after one of my Barreds wandered out front of my house it seems to have developed a limp. I checked the leg that it is favoring but only found a light red spot on the bottom of it's foot if it was a human i would say it got a stone bruise on the ball of it foot. Anything i can do for it or does it need to just heal on it's own? I checked no one sells chicken crutches

Not much you can do. Just let it heal. If you find a black scab though... it may be bumble foot starting up. That which you will have to clear and pack and heal up.
