Hello, my Hen is a 1 year old pearl star leghorn. Prior to Sunday, She was a healthy and active bird - no issues. When getting the girls cooped, I noticed she was limping. I gave her a check over and did not see anything bleeding or protruding, and Monday morning I checked her more thoroughly. She does not have bumblefoot, and it’s not mareks as she is not paralyzed or disinterested in eating and drinking + she laid an egg yesterday too. She still has not put weight on her leg though, so I am wondering if it could be a sprain or fracture and if so how can you tell if it’s one or the other? The only thing I noticed is a lump, it is slightly squishy and a little more darkening of her scales on the back leg compared to the other leg. (She got a 20 minute soak in epsom salt and loved it) Here are some pics …. Any thoughts ?
