Limping...laid an egg on the roost

Pics
Is this one any better? It's hard to get a photo because she keeps wanting to sit when I touch her leg. I haven't washed/cleaned her legs. Thanks again :)
Thanks for the picture
I don't believe I have seen exactly that either, can you describe what it feels like? Is there a crust on her scales or does it not feel any different towards the rest of her scales? Is that one new scale towards the top centre of the discoloration?
I would give her leg a soak in epsoms also, then I would gently rub to see if it peels away or what lies beneath.
Is it by any chance stained? Any timber around where she may roost with oil stains or anything like that?

If it doesn't rub off, I would put some triple antibiotic ointment on is as said above. Let us know what you find after soaking it!

@Wyorp Rock and @Cragg Klefor thank you both so much for your responses. It's nearly bed time now so I will give her an Epsom salt bath over the weekend and see how I go.

On another note, i felt her crop this morning and it was perfect...made me realise how "hard" it really was the other day. I think the egg shell eggs might have helped. Haven't noticed her doing the neck thing either. However, my big RIR was doing it this afternoon, it was actually a bit scary. I thought she was choking, she was just eating some grass then shaking her head like crazy and opening her mouth. She ran over to her water and drank it with her mother wide open...it was weird. Anyway I think I might be dealing with a crop issue, maybe? I cooked up some eggs with shell and oil and will keep an eye on it. I think I'll spread out the shell grit too. Either that or she is really suffering from these hot days...not sure that would result in the head shaking/neck stretching. It's all happening at my place!!!

Empty crop, GREAT news!!! Don't worry too much about the head shaking and neck stretching while eating grass, they are just trying to 'swallow' it. Just ensure they have grit available to help them break up that grass - besides egg shells. If there are any small pebbles/gravel on your grounds that will do fine, otherwise see if you can purchase a tub of Poultry grit II believe it is often called Granite Grit) for them. This will help a lot to avoid crop issues, and they actually require grit to digest food if they have access to anything other than pellets or crumbles.
I hope you have a nice, troublefree weekend!!! I will be interested to hear how that leg looks after a bath.

Great to know the head shaking isn't too serious. So I ended up a bit unwell myself and didn't do the bath over the weekend. I was going to do it this afternoon but when I checked it, it looks better. Her limp is also 95% gone :celebrate:ya I am so happy right now. I will continue to keep an eye on her (and my other girls) but wanted to thank you and @Wyorp Rock for all your help! I was very worried and you both provided such wonderful advice so thank you!
