Limping Pekin

Our drake is coming into his stride about now, it’s possible sh hurt herself I guess, I’m wondering if this was a breeding accident, he’s a pretty good boy but he’s big...😕

We our hen was sick, the drakes picked up on this and were abusing her so we had to separated the hens from the drakes until she was well. Maybe considered doing this so she can recover.

it looks to me like it was bumble foot my FIL was watching them for the weekend while we were gone and he decided it was better to be safe than sorry and started treating with iodine/epsom salt bath for half an hour, poultry wound spray after drying then bacitracin and a sock (until the duck shoes get here) to keep clean, and keeping her separated so she can't run around or get in the water. maybe I am wrong, but it has black on her center toe, the side of another and the side of her pad at the back, doesn't look great from what I can see, I hope were on the right path.
any thoughts or advice would be immensely appreciated.

Hard to tell from the photo, when you pinch the area can you feel a core, or is it just mild flaking? The large pad just looks to be flaking from what I can tell, this predisposes the bird to infection by opening the skin up, so a few soaks in Epsom salt water, and some daily application of an antibacterial ointment might prove beneficial.

Even if that tiny area is Bumblefoot, I'd honestly be surprised if that's the "sole" cause of her limp.

How is she walking today?

Hard to say for sure, she walks pretty funny with that sock on, but she can sure kick and squirm when bandaging with it.
as a side note, I had no idea my ducks had such an affinity for fingers until now, the other female Pekin in particular keels going for one thumb, cute at first but not after it started bleeding.

So today I think things are looking better, I was NOT digging the sock and surgical tape and cotton ball deal, so I made a cardboard sole (thank you Coors Brewing) And covered it with a slightly larger feminine pad, which was handy because it stuck there, cut the zipper off a sandwich bag before her foot soak. I applied the poultry wound care then smeared the whole bottom of her foot with bacitracin. I used the duct tape to hold the thing on and a wrap around the foot area. Hopefully it will improve matters in weight and a consistent moisture of the bacitracin rather than drying out in the sock.
I’m open to suggestions here
