We our hen was sick, the drakes picked up on this and were abusing her so we had to separated the hens from the drakes until she was well. Maybe considered doing this so she can recover. Our drake is coming into his stride about now, it’s possible sh hurt herself I guess, I’m wondering if this was a breeding accident, he’s a pretty good boy but he’s big...![]()
Hard to say for sure, she walks pretty funny with that sock on, but she can sure kick and squirm when bandaging with it.Hard to tell from the photo, when you pinch the area can you feel a core, or is it just mild flaking? The large pad just looks to be flaking from what I can tell, this predisposes the bird to infection by opening the skin up, so a few soaks in Epsom salt water, and some daily application of an antibacterial ointment might prove beneficial.
Even if that tiny area is Bumblefoot, I'd honestly be surprised if that's the "sole" cause of her limp.
How is she walking today?
