My 16 week old pullet has started to limp. I looked at her foot...and it looks fine. I think the pain is in the joint between where her feathers meet her legs. She looks healthy other than that. What should I do for her?

Doesn't appear to be any swelling. She free ranges and jumps around alot on my deep wooded hillsides. Lots of sliding leaves on the cliffs. I did think it might be a muscular thing. I put her in a crate to keep her from running around. She is missing her buddies, though. She ate some but I haven't seen her drink anything. Will try to get her to drink. Thanks for the reply.

My 11 week old bearded d'anver is going through the same thing. Don't see no spot for bumble foot. She lifts her hurt foot- leg like she has poop on it before she walks. I searched the site and come up with crushing B-complex on the food. Suppose to make it heal faster, good for the nerves, joints, and give you energy. I tried her first one yesterday put her by herself and she ate it , most of it any way. Mine is a cross beak so I have to use a deep dish bowl and only gave her 1. I work in a drug store and saw it in the liquid form too. I think I might get that because of the ease of giving it to her and she too couldn't stand being without her sisters. I thought she was going to hurt herself trying to get out. They said do it for 5 days and see if she is walking better if not try it for 5 more days. Let me know if you come up with any thing else.

I have been out of town and my DH has had her in a crate by herself. No improvement. Have since read about a vitamin B deficiency and will try what you are doing. I also read that you could give them brewer's yeast with their water. There is also the possibility that she has a genetic disorder that can be caused by her mother not having a good diet when she was "pregnant" Do you use that term with chickens? lol. Anyway, I am home now and will be working with her tomorrow. Will let you know if anything works. You do the same! Thanks!
