liquid coming out of mouth of EE

Take away food, offer nothing but water with a little crushed garlic. Offering food is pointless bc it will just pile up and ferments and turn into sour crop (yeast infection from food not going down). See if this helps ... you want to rebalance the food and bad bacteria. Absolutely no carbs right now; after a day or two with just the garlic water see if the crop goes down. It takes approximately 12 hours for food to fully leave the crop to get to the stomach. If it seems better after only garlic water offer some plain Greek yogurt or some plain scrambled egg ... it’s all about getting the crop to function properly again
She died I couldn’t do anything it just kept coming out

Well the proof is in the pudding; I’ve used garlic for my chickens for years so I don’t believe it harms them at all. The garlic water method worked for me, so that’s my go to crop fixer as long as I catch it early.

Right but this isn’t about your chicken. This is about the OPs which is a different situation. Your situation needs more details and a different thread so we can stick to the topic at hand. There’s a million different things that could have killed your chicken.
Sorry for your loss.

Okay, I'm not sure who to believe but I just felt her crop and it seems normal, maybe on the liquidy side. I don't feel anything hard.

Then your bird does not have an impacted crop.

Impacted crop and sour crop are two different things.

It's possible your bird just drank too much at that exact time you saw it lean over.

I asked you to check its crop first thing in the morning, there is a reason for this so please do it tomorrow morning... Before you offer anything to eat.

Just asking and certainly not to dismiss what more experienced have already told you about impacted crop. But, is there any possibility that she over indulged herself in drinking water before this happened? I ask that only because a chicken without access to water for a few hours will excessively drink and, yes, to the point that water will run out especially if picked up. I have seen it a couple of times when I was careless enough to remove a cap off of a gravity fed waterer after filling it up.

What does a crop look/feel like when empty? Thank you all so much for your information.

This could be a possibility. They had water all day. Thank you!

Here's my short article on crop disorders and how to recognize and treat them. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/

As @Kiki suggested, check the crop in the morning before food and water are provided. If the crop is full, it may be colonizing yeast. Garlic won't cure a crop disorder. You need an anti-yeast med called miconazole.

Sometimes a perfectly healthy chicken will suddenly regurgitate liquid from its crop. This does not mean there's a crop disorder. If you handle a chicken that has just drunk water, sometimes liquid will come out of the beak. This does not mean there's a crop disorder.

Only by checking the crop in the morning can you verify if there's a crop issue or not. An empty crop feels flat against the chest wall.

It should be flat and not squishy at all. You check first thing in the morning because a properly functioning crop will empty over the course of 8 to 12 hours. If it has not gone down overnight, then it is impacted and the food is not getting down to the gizzard.
