Listless pullet, weird poo, rump up.... came on FAST <update-EGGBOUND>

I have her all set up inside for the night. I'll make a trip to the gas station for the TUMS right now. She doesn't seem too interested in eating at the moment. Can't say I blame her.

Poor thing!

Three eggs in one day? I don't think that's normal.

I'm not an expert on this, but since you haven't gotten a ton of responses, i'm going to offer my thoughts and welcome correction from the experts.

If she's laying that much, from what i've read, that might indicate some problem with her egg laying being a bit hyperactive. If she were mine, i think i would keep her in the dark for a couple of days while she builds her strength and hopefully doesn't lay anymore eggs. Then see if she can start over and pace herself this time.

So glad she's feeling better - and that she brought her situation to your attention. Kind of a funny picture of her holding her butt up in the air, like a kid with a hurt finger holding it in your face until you pay attention. haha!

My good girl ate her all of her Tums this morning with a little yogurt and pellets. That's a relief. She made five large, normal poops overnight and one that was a bit darker and wetter.

So I get it... keeping her in the dark slows egg production!!! At first I thought that suggestion was to keep her calm. I am pretty sure that she only laid the two soft shelled eggs yesterday. So far, in two weeks of collecting eggs I have gotten a few with tissue thin shells. Probably from this gal? I have NO idea who lays what... how the heck do you tell? I can hardly tell the chickens apart! So this means that one of the other 3 girls laid twice yesterday! Somebody is also consistently laying double yolkers.
