Little and Big chickens

Will a flock of full size chickens (RIR's mostly) ever hang out with my flock of variable bantams? We just got the bantams and a few young ones, the larger chickens go after the small ones. They dont hurt eachother, but the bantams are scared. They do roost in the same coop at night right now. any ideas? We are working on a new coop and will be done next weekend so I am interested in seeing how they take to that.

I'm sure lots of people keep mixed flocks with no problems. As long as you keep an eye out for bullying, it may work out fine.

That said, I keep mine separate, for my own piece of mind and to save the bantams some stress). I have found that the OEGB's are tough enough to deal with the standards. In fact, my huge orp roo is terrified of my tiny OEGB hen.
