I would sell some eggs but I only have 1 hen lol. And the pullet I have (his daughter) Has feathers on her legs from her mother that passed away.

I always thought Leghorns were skittish and flighty, but Kernal and Little Daddy are starting to change my mind... Leghorns now look like they could potentially be very friendly, too, if given lots of attention and affection.

Jayne, I can tell Little Daddy's comb has been receiving lots of TLC. It looks super-smooth and lotioned.

you know, even my brown leghorns out in 'The Big House' are not crazy wild. they are fluttery and in no way do they want to 'snuggle', but they are not psycho by any measure.

you hit on exactly what i would say. it just depends on the handling from hatch on, plus every animal has it's own 'personality'. LD is used to being handled. he still runs around in circles when we try to pick him up, but once he is in our hands, he just settles right down.

and yes, lots of TLC on the comb. i tried a couple different things, but like the lard the best.

so LD and his crew finally got moved out to the Little House with some big chickens to wait for their house to be set up....here's some pics of LD's first day out in the world...(glad the comb fit through the pop door!)

Little Daddy's bro doesn't have a name yet. we've had lots of suggestions but nothing is 'sticking' yet.

it's a comb over for sure. i keep telling him that Pat Sajak and Donald Trump called and want their hair back, but he wont listen!

Chicky...i think i know that cartoon you're talking about. totally funny!
