This winter, I got some wheat, set up a system, and pretty much gave my birds fodder every other day. I was sure they would go nuts for the green in the dead of winter.
Truthfully, they didn't, they did eat the roots first, and eventually the green would be gone.
But I have turned them out several days lately, the grass is beginning to green, and my yolks are now popping with orange color.
Really not impressed with the fodder feed.
